KCR | Kinetic Chain Release is a gentle yet powerful bodywork protocol created by Scottish Physiotherapist Hugh Gilbert to support and restore physical and energetic alignment.
At the heart of KCR is the correction of an apparent leg length difference. When pelvic tilt, joint misalignment, or localised muscle tension causes one leg to appear shorter or longer, the entire body compensates - often creating chronic pain, stiffness, and postural stress.
Using scientifically designed and medically approved sequence of mobilisation stretches, KCR releases deep-seated tension across the kinetic chain (muscles, joints, and connective tissues).
By systematically rebalancing the body from head to toe, KCR not only corrects structural alignment and relieves physical pain for people of all ages, but also creates space to release emotional and energetic imbalances held within the system.
Investment: £70 (1 x KCR Session, 60mins).

KCR is a remarkably gentle protocol. I will always work within your comfort level and mobility limits. KCR is suitable for people of all ages - from young children to older adults.
Whether you are managing chronic pain, recovering from activity, or simply seeking better posture and energy flow, KCR provides a safe, supportive path to balance.
Each KCR session lasts around 60 mins.
A KCR session is entirely unique to you, and everyone experiences its benefits in their own way.
Following a session, some clients feel deeply relaxed, while others experience immediate relief from long-standing pain. Above all, clients consistently report feeling noticeably looser, lighter, and happier as their body settles back into natural alignment.
What to Wear
Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable, and stretchy clothing such as leggings, a tracksuit, or a jumper. Jeans, skirts, or dresses are unsuitable for this bodywork.
Fully Clothed
You will remain fully clothed throughout the entire session.
Movement on the Couch
During the treatment, you will gently change positions on the treatment couch—moving between lying on your back, lying on your front, and sitting up.
To help you get the most out of your treatment, you will be shown three simple stretches at the end of your session. Practicing these at home will help maintain your new balance and prevent old patterns from returning.
As with any bodywork session, staying well-hydrated afterward is essential. Drinking plenty of water helps your body process the physical release and smoothly integrate your structural realignment.
